A Sophomore at The Ranney School, Giuliana Demma has grown up alongside the Liv Like a Unicorn foundation. Since joining the mission in 6th grade, she has dedicated her time and heart to the Junior Board. Giuliana is best known for her hands-on contribution: sewing custom hospital gowns for pediatric patients,ensuring that every child she reaches feels a little more like themselves and a little less like a patient. An explorer at heart, she loves to spend time underwater as an avid scuba diver. Looking ahead to college, she hopes to pursue her interests in environmental science or chemistry. On a perfect Saturday, you can find Giuliana catching up on some well-deserved sleep.

Gianna Kurczeski
Vice President of Programs
A Junior at Trinity Hall, Gianna Kurczeski joined the Liv Like a Unicorn Junior Board out of a deep-seated passion for making a difference and being part of a mission greater than herself. When she isn’t focused on the foundation’s work, Gianna is usually at cheer practice or traveling across the country for competitions—often finding her way back to her favorite spots in Myrtle Beach. Looking ahead, she aims to study chemistry after high school with dreams of one day exploring the Maldives. On a typical Saturday, you can find Gianna enjoying her favorite local routine: a day of shopping followed by lunch at Jersey Freeze.
A fun fact about me is that I am a competitive gymnast.
Jillian Bresocnik
Vice President of Development
A Sophomore at Old Bridge High School, Jillian is honored to serve on the Liv Like a Unicorn Junior Board, a mission that is deeply personal to her. She first became involved with the foundation in 2020, shortly after her younger sister, Kendall, lost her battle against brain cancer. This experience fuels Jillian’s unwavering commitment to supporting children and families navigating similar journeys. Outside of her advocacy work, Jillian balances a rigorous schedule of schoolwork and dance rehearsals. A competitive dancer at heart, she plans to channel her passion for helping others into a career as a Speech-Language Pathologist after high school.

Audrina Demma
Treasurer
A 7th grader at The Ranney School, Audrina Demma is dedicated to honoring Liv’s legacy and supporting children who are facing similar battles. As a Junior Board member, Audrina takes a hands-on approach to her service by sewing custom hospital gowns for pediatric cancer patients. When she isn’t volunteering, she is deeply involved in the arts, playing the saxophone and performing in middle school musicals. An active student-athlete, she also enjoys playing squash. Looking toward the future, Audrina hopes to study law to continue making a positive difference in her community. On a typical Saturday, you can find her relaxing and hanging out with her friends.

A Sophomore at The Ranney School, Kata Canada joined the Liv Like a Unicorn Junior Board out of a deep passion for community involvement and a desire to create a lasting, positive impact. When she isn’t focusing on the foundation’s mission, Kata is a dedicated competitive dancer and loves spending time with her friends. Her commitment to helping others extends to her future goals, as she aspires to become a Physician Assistant after high school. An 8th grader at Dwight D. Eisenhower, Ella Gundaker joined the Liv Like a Unicorn Junior Board out of a passion for bringing smiles to children’s faces and finding ways to make their days a little brighter. When she isn’t at a board meeting, Ella stays active at basketball practice or enjoys downtime at the beach and shopping. Looking ahead to next year, she is excited to attend Freehold Township High School, where she plans to play both field hockey and basketball. Ella’s perfect Saturday involves a mix of discovery and family: trying out a new coffee shop before heading to a store or her cousin’s house.

A Freshman at Colts Neck High School, Lexi Candela joined the Liv Like a Unicorn Junior Board to help make the world a better place through the foundation’s unique mission. For Lexi, this work is deeply personal: Liv was her best friend, and she is dedicated to carrying on her legacy through every project the board takes on. When she isn’t in a meeting, Lexi spends most of her time at the dance studio. Looking toward the future, she plans to attend college with an interest in studying law. On a typical Saturday, Lexi loves nothing more than a quiet day at home, relaxing with her favorite show and some snacks.

A Sophomore at Freehold High School, Inaaya Siddiqi joined the Liv Like a Unicorn Junior Board out of a deep-seated passion for community service and a desire to support families navigating pediatric cancer. Her goal is to amplify awareness and create a meaningful, positive impact through the foundation’s mission. When she isn’t at a board meeting, Inaaya is usually on the court for basketball practice or enjoying quality time with her friends and family. Looking ahead, she aspires to study medicine and continue her love for travel. On a perfect Saturday, you’ll find Inaaya out with her family or hitting the links for a round of golf with her brother.

I am so grateful and proud to be apart of this foundation! It is so important to me to find ways to support the families and patients who are suffering from pediatric cancer. Any chance I get to put a smile on the faces of these children and brighten their day is worth the effort. I hope to raise more awareness about childhood cancer and make a difference in any way I can.

In her free time, Lyla enjoys the creative side of life—whether she’s doing her nails, trying out new restaurants, or hanging out with her friends. Looking ahead, she hopes to turn her creativity into a career as a nail technician or within the field of cosmetology.
Emily Aguirre

A Junior at Freehold High School, Emily Aguirre brings a powerful personal perspective to the Liv Like a Unicorn Junior Board. As a survivor of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), Emily was diagnosed at 13 and experienced firsthand the challenges that patients and their families face. Her journey led her to discover the mission of Liv Like a Unicorn and inspired her to become an advocate for childhood cancer awareness.When she isn’t in board meetings, Emily is a passionate baker who turns her kitchen into a workshop for good, selling cookies and treats to raise money for toy donations to orphanages and hospitals in both the U.S. and Mexico. With a goal to study business and continue her path in social work after high school, Emily is already an experienced traveler—having flown solo since she was just six years old.
